With an idiosyncratic musical upbringing that included rock bands, pop radio, jazz ensembles, marching band, classical voice lessons, symphonic wind ensemble, and a cappella choirs (both as a singer and a beatboxer), Matt is oddly well versed in the varied styles that make up large swaths of of contemporary musical theatre writing.

His work as a vocalist makes him particularly attuned to vocal arrangements that are challenging yet singable. And his experience both digesting and producing pop/rock music give him unique and specific insight into creating exciting and contemporary soundscapes.
